Meet the Team!

With the computer legacy that my father left me, I was always working with electronics and small personal computers. Starting with a ZX spectrum and then progressing to the first IBM PC Junior running on MS-DOS, I always kept abreast with the latest technologies through Primary and High School. In standard 8 (1988) working part time for a computer reseller in JHB I soon learnt the skills to assemble and fault find computers. At the time the IBM XT (8088) was a top seller in the industry. After 3 years working for DKS Computers part time and during school holidays, I Matriculated from John Orr Technical High School (1990).

I had received a full bursary from the South African Navy to Study Electronic Engineering. After receiving my qualifications in electronic engineering I, a commissioned officer in the South African Navy worked in various departments of the Navy. From Simons Town and Durban’s Naval Dock Yards in the various weapons and electronic warfare workshops to finally filling a post on SAS Drakensberg as Assistant Weapons Electrical Officer. After a 7 Year Period in the employ of the South African Navy , I decided to resign my commission and continue my fathers Legacy by Re-opening Complete Computer Services ,Based in Cape Town (1997).

I was born in Lady Frere at Bhozwana village near Queenstown in the Eastern Cape.

After finishing my matric, I moved to the Western Cape. Where in 2005 I met Juan Venter who introduced me to the wonderful world of Computers. I now love assembling computers and repairing them. My duties at CCS also include the management of stock and the day to day logistical tasks that are given to me.

I enjoy outdoor sports activities. I am a BIG Soccer Fan and love playing the sport during my leisure time. I also enjoy watching television, especially soccer matches and enjoy the special times with my loved ones. What interests me most about computers, is that you learn something new each and every day.

I am British born and moved to South Africa at a young age. I spent most of my school years in Gauteng and Grahamstown. I travelled the world extensively during my younger adult life and always found myself coming back to sunny South Africa. I have been involved and interested in Information Technology from a very young age. I have gained many years of experience in the Internet Service Provider Industry and have been a Network Administrator in many industry sectors. I have spent close on 10 years with a Large well known Internet Service Provider Company where I gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the provision of Internet services to Home and Industry.

I find that the computer industry peaks my interest due to the fast pace and every changing skill set that is required. Working for Complete Computer Services since 2011 has helped me grow as a person and improve in areas less knowledgeable to me.

I was born in Pretoria and spent most of my school years jumping between Gauteng and the Western Cape as my dad was a pilot for the air force. My family and I eventually settled in Somerset West and have been here for over 15 years. During my high school years, I grew to enjoy computer gaming and even started going to LAN gaming events. I was always very much into technology and spent many hours of my free time reading about the latest tech news as well as online gaming on my personal pc.

When I left school, I completed a 1-year higher certificate course in Sound Engineering at the Cape Audio College. I really enjoyed the hardware aspect of it, as we worked with audio equipment, lighting as well as computer hardware. I then decided to continue my studies and I completed the 3-year Diploma course in Sound Engineering. I then worked in the live sound industry for almost two years. Even though I enjoyed the work I somehow always ended up back in the world of IT.

I then job shadowed a guy who worked for an IT company for 6 months and during this time I worked in the workshop, the networking team as well as in the sales department. I absolutely loved every minute of it and that was when I discovered my true passion is IT.

I was born and raised in the Helderberg, where my early interests in computer gaming and technology first took root. However, as I grew up, my focus shifted toward a sports-driven lifestyle. During high school, I earned numerous sports achievements, but I was still unsure about what I wanted to pursue academically.

This uncertainty led me to take a gap year in New Zealand, where I worked at a private school. My role involved assisting in the boarding houses, classrooms, sports coaching, school trips, and administrative tasks. After my gap year, I considered studying Sport Sciences, with the goal of becoming either a personal trainer or a conditioning coach.

However, after completing my studies, the Covid-19 pandemic hit, limiting opportunities in the fitness industry. I decided to take up bartending, but it didn’t resonate with me. I also tried my hand at being a forklift driver and managing stock control for a wine export company.

Fortunately, I came across a job opening at Complete Computer Services, and despite my limited experience in IT, I decided to apply. Shortly after, I was hired, and since then, I’ve learned an incredible amount—skills I never thought I could master. While working, I also completed my CompTIA A+ certification, which was a challenge I’m proud to have overcome.

Since joining Complete Computer Services, my passion for IT and programming has grown immensely. I’m excited to see where this journey will lead, and I’ll always be grateful to the team at Complete Computer Services for the opportunity they’ve provided.
